Welcome to the Strood First Class Learning Centre! Students of all ages attend our dedicated tuition centre in the heart of Strood at 37 Frindsbury Road Strood ME2 4JA. Our powerful learning programmes are designed to meet the objectives of the National Curriculum and we cater for learners aged 4 to 16 years old.
Every child who wants to join us completes a free maths and English assessment with the Centre Managers – who both have over 16 years of teaching experience. We provide detailed feedback and create personalised maths and English learning programmes that target your child's individual learning needs. We also offer Science from Key Stage 3 to GCSE level.
The Strood Centre Managers work together to support your child's learning in maths and English. We help to build confidence, knowledge and understanding as well as help your child to develop independent learning skills.
We aim to create confident, excited learners. Every programme is designed around the students’ needs, which guarantees the work is not too hard or too easy, the best way to build confidence. Our materials are dynamic and interesting, ensuring students stay engaged with learning.
We also offer additional personalised packages for students taking entrance exams, SATs and GCSEs. These programmes include further time at the centre and the use of exam-relevant past and mock papers to develop exam technique and confidence.

Our First Class Learning Centre Managers, Kenny and Michelle Olowu, will call you to discuss how we can help your child with maths, English or science. Your child will then be assisted to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. This assessment can happen at a mutually-convenient location, or online. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre or online. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Centre Manager(s), who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed to further embed and consolidate their learning from the centre before the next class. During each learning session, your child will be supported as they work through their personalised learning programme.
