Our friendly and approachable team members are here to help all students whether they are struggling, need a boost or simply need a challenge.
The structured yet flexible Maths and English programmes will help your child to achieve in these core subjects and as children settle into the weekly routine, we often see an improvement in the child's confidence.
Furthermore, the programmes are aligned to the National Curriculum so the work we set in class will support your child's schoolwork. Children living in Penarth, Cardiff, Sully, Dinas Powys, Llandough, Barry, Cowbridge and other villages in the Vale of Glamorgan are more than welcome to attend our study centre based in the Lesser Hall, Victoria Square, Penarth on Tuesdays 3:15pm to 5:15pm (Years 10 and 11), Wednesdays 3.15pm to 5.30pm (primary and Years 7,8 and 9) and Thursdays 3:15pm to 6:15pm (Years 7,8 and 9).
If you think that First Class Learning might be right for you, please contact Jenny Tricklebank on 029 22219408/ 07415 702 061 to arrange a free assessment. We look forward to seeing your child in class!
The first step is to book a free assessment to determine whether the First Class Learning programme is right for your child. There is absolutely no commitment required at this stage. It is also a chance for you to meet us and to ask any questions you may have. Upon enrolling, we carefully construct an individually-tailored programme for your child which is linked to their ability and the pace at which they learn. We always welcome your feedback to ensure that we pitch the work correctly for your child. Numeracy and literacy skills are developed very gradually and consistently by completing short pieces of homework and by weekly attendance at our warm and friendly Penarth study centre. In class, your child receives individual attention as new work is introduced. They then spend some time working independently. As a result, students only move on in small, achievable steps when they are confident with a topic.
