I used to worry a lot about their learning but that has been taken away. Please send your children there if you want them to be confident in school and in everyday life.

Maths and English Tuition at Leeds Morley

Welcome to the Leeds Morley First Class Learning Centre! We provide comprehensive maths, English and science tuition aligned with the National Curriculum for children aged 4 to 16.

Through our structured programmes, we personalise each child's learning path to build confidence, knowledge and understanding. Our approach also fosters the development of independent learning skills.

We offer specialised 11-Plus tuition for children in Years 3, 4 and 5, emphasising problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This ensures they are well-prepared for their exams and future academic success.

Our aim is to inspire children to pursue their dreams by building strong foundations of knowledge, self-belief and a genuine love for learning. We help our students unlock their full potential, setting the stage for them to flourish.

How we work

We complete a free maths and English assessment with your child and provide informative feedback on their strengths and areas for improvement. We then recommend a personalised learning programme to meet your child's needs. Once you enrol, your child will attend our centre at least once a week. At the centre, your child will be supported as they work through their personalised learning programme. Between their weekly centre visits, they will also receive a programme of daily bite-size homework tasks to further embed and consolidate their learning from the centre.

FAQ

How does FCL differ to 1:1 tutoring?
FCL offers structure and daily practice, with a ‘little and often’ approach, enabling the child to retain what they have learnt and gain confidence with ease. It also develops good study habits and independent learning so that they don’t become dependent on others teaching them.
How will FCL help with my child’s school work?
By filling in any gaps they may have and developing their confidence we can change their attitude to a positive one and at the same time give them the skill sets needed to carry through to all school work.
Can I sit with my child while they do their work at the centre?
If your child is worried about coming into their first session, parents can come in to begin with but you won’t need to stay for long. Once they see the friendly faces and welcoming atmosphere, they are happy to stay on their own. We like to encourage independent and confident students.
If I join, am I tied into FCL for a set amount of time?
No, not at all. FCL is primarily a long term programme, not a 'quick fix'. However, there are many reasons why you may need to stop, so I just ask for a month's notice.
