How we work

Our Centre Manager and Qualified Teacher, Allison Banks, will outline how we can help your child with maths and/or English. She will sit down with your child and complete a thorough assessment to determine which path is most suitable. Once she has established your child's needs, she will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning and confidence building. If you feel happy with her plan and believe that First Class Learning is the best option for you and your child, you’ll be invited to fill out an online registration form and subsequently a personalised learning programme will be created. Your child will then be invited to start attending weekly (term time) sessions at our centre. During these sessions, your child will have their previous week’s work looked at and any misunderstandings discussed. They will then look through their set worksheets for the upcoming week to ensure they understand the lessons and feel confident to tackle the homework for the week. Each programme involves 5-10 minutes of independent home study per day, and 30 minutes support attending the centre per week per subject.
