Maths and English Tuition at Dartford

Welcome to the Dartford First Class Learning Centre. We support children and adults in the local community with Maths, English Students of all ages attend our study centre at St Anselm's Parish Centre in DA1. We cater for learners from Early Years to primary.

Our expert Centre Managers support your child's learning in Maths, English in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills. Our English and Maths programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic.

Through individualised programmes, our expert Centre Managers support your child's learning in maths, English or both subjects together in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills, something that is extremely important in today's busy classrooms in schools.

How we work

Our First Class Learning Centre Manager will call you to discuss how we can help your child with maths or English. They will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre or online. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Centre Manager, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.

The Dartford First Class Learning Centre is run by Martin Mathew. Martin is a qualified teacher who has worked in many schools. Martin is fully trained and qualified to deliver the First Class Learning study programmes. Every First Class Learning Centre Manager holds an enhanced DBS certificate.

Maths

Based on the National Curriculum, Our maths programme focuses on building confidence and mastery of key topics, filling in any gaps in their knowledge that could be holding them back at school. They are able to progress beyond their school level if they are capable of doing so and the work is tailored to each individual child's needs.

English

Based on the National Curriculum, Our English programme concentrates on reading, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation, creative writing and handwriting. The initial diagnostic testing assesses the child's needs so that we can provide an individualised programme.
