Maths and English Tuition at Blackburn
Welcome to First Class Learning Blackburn, where children learn to succeed. We are delighted to support children in the local community, of all ages and abilities, with Maths, English, Science and 11+ (entrance exam preparation).
Through our structured programmes, we personalise each child’s learning path, which is targeted to fill any existing gaps in their understanding and promote development of existing knowledge. This helps with their schoolwork, builds confidence, and develops independent learning skills.
My programmes are flexible and tailored to learners' individual needs and abilities, so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. Regular testing ensures that the best possible progress is made. The 'little and often' approach, with plenty of repetition and practice, really does make a huge difference.
How we work
Dr Samim will call you to discuss how she can help your child in their studies. They will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Dr Samim, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
